PDEA nabs student in South Cotabato buy-bust

SOUTH COTABATO, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents nabbed on one of the top ten most wanted drug peddlers in Banga town in South Cotabato on Saturday.
Rasid Sopranes, a 19-year-old Grade 12 student in a school in Banga, was caught in the act by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency selling shabu to a PDEA agent disguised as a drug dependent.
In a press statement Saturday, the office of the PDEA in Region 12 said Sopranes was arrested in his hideout in Barangay El Nonok in Banga, about 20 kilometers from Koronadal City, the capital of South Cotabato.

The PDEA-12, which is based in General Santos City, said Sopranes will be prosecuted for violation of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act.
