PNP, AFP express gratitude for Duterte’s continuous support
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said the president’s support has been the reason why soldiers and cops have high morale which results in better performance of their duties.
“From the bottom of my heart thank you Mr. President for all the support you have given to the PNP, we cannot ask for more,” PNP chief Police Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa said.
He added that cops are inspired to work harder as they know that the president will look after them.
“We know that you really love the Philippine National Police. . . thank you so much in behalf of my men in field and fighting right now against the terrorist and insurgent in the field and the criminals out there, they ate fighting with very high motivation because they know that the president will also look after them,” said the PNP chief.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has also expressed gratitude to the president’s support, particularly the increase of their men’s salaries, and improvement in the military’s equipment under its modernization program.
AFP-PAO Chief Col. Edgard Arevalo said the executive’s continuous support for the AFP has a positive impact to Philippine troops.
“This resulted in a high confidence rating or satisfaction rating from our compatriots,” said Arevalo.
The police and military vow to give their full support to the president and to perform their duties well for the safety of the public against those seeking to sow violence. – Lea Ylagan | UNTV News and Rescue
