Dengue infections on the rise in Cavite
CAVITE, Philippines – Dengue cases in the province of Cavite have increased by 75%, according to the Cavite Provincial Health Office.
From over 1,400 cases in the period of January to June last year, the number almost doubled to 2,400 after six months to this year.
The local government of Cavite expressed concern that the figure might increase at this time of the year during the onset of the rainy season.
Thus, the provincial health office calls on residents to maintain cleanliness of surroundings and clear their areas of possible breeding grounds to dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
– UNTV News & Rescue
