Chloe Sevigny concerned about who will inherit her fashion treasures

Chloe Sevigny has joked she's considering having a child just to ensure her treasured wardrobe is passed on to someone who will look after it.

The Kids actress joined her Lizzie co-star Kristen Stewart for a chat recently, and when the conversation turned to fashion, Chloe revealed she is starting to get embarrassed by the sentimental outfits she has stashed in her collection.

“I have pieces that I wore over and over again in high school. My collection is vast and exhaustive and a little embarrassing,” Sevigny told Stewart in the WhoWhatWear interview. "Just all the pieces that I hold and think about what was happening when I was wearing them. The sense memory of that.

“I still have the shirt I wore in the movie Kids. I have the bunny ears I made for (1997 drama) Gummo. I have all kinds of weird articles from different characters I’ve played, photo shoots, events. My Oscar dress. It’s embarrassing. I better have a daughter soon or I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”

Fashion icon Chloe, who has starred in campaigns for high-profile designers such as Louis Vuitton, Proenza Schouler and Vivienne Westwood, has often been considered a rebel with her outfit choices, and she believes her taste contributed to shaping her career.

“Everyone was like, ‘You have to be more approachable. Hollywood thinks you’re too weird. You’re never going to get any parts'," she recalled. "Meanwhile, I was like, 'Johnny Depp gets to be weird!' But it didn’t work for me."

Kristen then jumped in and said, "That’s why everyone else thinks you’re so cool, though."

"Well, now that’s acceptable,” Sevigny responded. "Now 'weird' is a brand. But before, it wasn’t. Before, you were telling Hollywood you didn’t want to be a part of it."
