Prices of canned sardines set to increase in December
Prices of canned sardines are expected to increase by P 0.50 to P0.60 next month according to the Canned Sardines Association of the Philippines (CSAP)
CSAP president Marvin Lim said this is due to the rising prices of raw materials, petroleum, labor and the weakening of the peso against the dollar.
Meanwhile, there are no expected price hikes on canned corned beef and meatloaf.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will impose a “tamban” fishing ban in Zamboanga Peninsula from December 1 to March 1. — UNTV News & Rescue
