QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has extended the distribution of Pantawid Pasada Fuel Cards to jeepney drivers and operators until December 15.
This is to give operators ample time to submit the required documents for the availment of subsidy.
The deadline for distribution was supposedly on Thursday (November 29).
Based on records, there are around 66,000 operators from a total of 180,000 operators with legitimate franchises who have availed of the fuel cards since its launch in September.
The Pantawid Pasada Program aims at helping the drivers and operators cope with the series of oil price hikes in relation to the implementation of the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law. – UNTV News and Rescue
