MANILA, Philippines — Utah Jazz guard and one of the frontrunners to win the NBA’s Rookie of the Year plum Donovan Mitchell is coming to Manila this weekend.
The 21-year-old cager, who currently leads the NBA’s crop of rookies in scoring with 20.5 points a game, will be making his rounds in the capital on June 17.
Mitchell will be giving fans and members “a glimpse into his life and how he uses creativity in the challenges he faces as a rookie,” according to adidas, the sporting apparel brand of which the cager is an endorser.
“From claiming the 2018 Slam Dunk Champ title to leading in the 2018 NBA Rookie of the Year race, Donovan has really inspired our basketball-crazy country and we can’t wait to welcome him,” brand manager Jen Dacasin said.
Details on Mitchell’s visit are yet to be revealed as of posting time
